Bulgarian

[edit]

Etymology

[edit]

The now-common form адре́с (adrés) derives from French adresse. This term may come from an adaptation thereof (adding an ⟨a⟩ to form a feminine noun, matching the gender of the original), or from a different source such as German Adresse, either of which may explain the final /ɐ/.
