Deverbal from поднима́ть (podnimátʹ). The combining form -ём is the normal deverbal equivalent of -нима́ть (-nimátʹ)/има́ть (imátʹ); compare archaic first singular present tense емлю́ (jemljú) of има́ть (imátʹ).
