Etymology

From the same Proto-Indo-European root as քերեմ (kʻerem), but grown with -ծ- (-c-). Cognate with Lithuanian sker̃sti and Latvian šķērst.

քերծեմ (kʻercem)  (aorist indicative քերծեցի)

  1. (transitive) to strip off, to peel, to bark, to pare
  2. (transitive) to shave

Usage notes

Do not confuse with գերծեմ (gercem).
