صَلَوٰة (ṣalāhf (plural صَلَوٰت (ṣalawāt))

  1. Archaic spelling of صَلَاة (ṣalāh, salah).
    • 609–632 CE, Qur'an, 2:238:
      حٰفِظُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰتِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ٱلْوُسْطَى وَقُومُوا لِلّٰه قٰنِتِينَ
      ḥāfiẓū ʿalā ṣ-ṣalawāti wa-ṣ-ṣalāti l-wusṭā wa-qūmū li-llāh qānitīna
      Preserve your prayers, and [especially] the middle prayer, and stand in obedience to God.
