    Either from Proto-Sino-Tibetan *s-grwa (feather), whence Chinese (Coblin, 1986; Gong Hwang-cherng, 2002; STEDT), or *w(a/u) (bird; egg; wing; fowl) (Matisoff, 2000; Schuessler, 2007; Sagart, 2021b; STEDT).
