This verb conjugates as a first-group verb ending in -er. The forms that would normally end in *-ss, *-st are modified to s, st. This verb has a stressed present stem adies distinct from the unstressed stem ades, as well as other irregularities. Old French conjugation varies significantly by date and by region.
