Etymology[edit]

From Pre-Polabian *ukroje instead of Proto-Slavic *ukrojitъ; third-person singular present of Proto-Slavic *ukrojiti, from *u- +‎ *krojiti. By surface analysis, ai̯- +‎ krüjĕ.
