warm hub (plural warm hubs)

  1. A room or building, such as a library, community centre, etc., that members of the public can use to keep warm during cold weather if they cannot afford to heat their own homes, also providing opportunities to socialise or participate in activities.
    Synonym: warm space
    Warm hubs became popular in Britain during the 'cost of living crisis' of the early 2020s, when energy bills soared.
