Etymology[edit]

Borrowed from French myriade, from Late Latin mȳrias, from Ancient Greek μυριάς (muriás, number of 10,000), from μυρίος (muríos, numberless, countless, infinite).[1] Compare Russian мириа́да (miriáda), Polish miriada.
