Borrowed from Written Oirat ᡐᠠᡕᡅᡋᡅᡊ (tayibing), ᡐᠠᡕᡅᡋᡇᡊ (tayibung). from Mandarin 太平 (tàipíng, peace and tranquility). Compare also Mongolian тайван (tajvan).
