- (Buddhism) concept based on the philosophy of 五大 (godai, “five elements”):
- the five elements as a whole: 地輪 (jirin), 水輪 (suirin), 火輪 (karin), 風輪 (fūrin), and 空輪 (kūrin)
- Short for 五輪成身 (gorin jōshin): the placement of the five elements to certain parts of the body, resulting in attaining 仏身 (busshin, “buddha body”)
- Synonym of 五体 (gotai): the head, both arms and both knees of the human body
- Short for 五輪塔 (gorintō) or 五輪卒塔婆 (gorin sotoba): a five-ringed pagoda
