[edit]According to Kallio (2022), possibly a more recent Baltic borrowing from the same source as *lakci (“bay, gulf”), specifically from a form like *lanktja- (borrowed into Early Proto-Finnic *lakća or Middle Proto-Finnic *lakca).[1]
