triptote/diptote in ـٍ ‎(-in)

[edit]

Hi, having both the same pattern, why the singular is named 'triptote' while the broken plural is a 'diptote'? Thanks in advance. --Backinstadiums (talk) 08:41, 25 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Broken feminine plural?

[edit]

@Atitarev: an IP has marked مَوَاضٍ (mawāḍin) as feminine plural. I'm inclined to doubt this, but don't really know for sure. — Eru·tuon 04:04, 28 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Erutuon: I can't confirm it's a feminine. I search in H. Wehr using "مضي‎" and مَوَاضٍ (mawāḍin) is shown as just plural. It's the only plural form provided there. I wonder if IP simply doesn't know how to make multiple plural forms (pl2, pl3, etc.).--Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 05:01, 28 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
