what is the definition of tautology? Give me some examples!!

- Well, technically "forward planning" could have a meaning distinct from "reverse planning". In AI it is relatively common to plan actions from both the current state towards a goal (forward), and from a goal state towards a current state (backwards). - The expression provided as an example under "uncountable" strikes me as countable, since "Forward Planning" is but one expression, and the example sentence should be "(countable) "It is a tautology to say "Forward Planning"". In my opinion, "redundant use of words" is all that need be said under "(uncountable)". I am adding a more immediate example under (countable). RCopple 17:05, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
How about this example: " 'A tautology is a tautology' is a tautology" ? Kalleguld 04:04, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
I am not so fluent in English (American, British, Canadian, simple or any) but I think both provided examples (forward planning, raze to the ground) are using pleonasms and present them as tautologies. In case the concept in English is the one used in the examples then the provided translation for Greek is wrong. --Xoristzatziki (talk) 18:14, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
