Etymology[edit]
By analogy with nerf bar. Invented by ATV racer Brian Fry in 1985.
Noun[edit]
- A net running between a nerf bar on a vehicle and the vehicle itself, in order to prevent the driver's leg getting caught between the two.
- Those nerf nets may look weird, but they've saved me a lot of pain.
